A local architect enlisted LT Design Studio to study the landscape for a new home being designed in the Inglewood neighborhood of East Nashville. The home will be a unique addition to the neighborhood, incorporating passive design (CPHC) techniques, and multiple levels of outdoor terraces. The owner wanted to create a series of intimate outdoor spaces that complement the aesthetics of the building, while maintaining a feeling of connection to the surrounding neighborhood. The semi-private lawn at the front of the home capitalizes on the use of existing trees to frame the space and create a sense of foundation.
